The current forecast of the economic conditions dictate the focus (and the importance) for businesses to accelerate cash flow. In a downsizing market, this session will enable a business to identify faster ways to optimize availability and grow deposits (i.e., desk float, branch deposits, presentment items, etc.). Deborah Burgess, Sovereign Bank
Deb joined Sovereign in 2008 where she manages a team of professionals supporting the payables and receivables products for Sovereign Bank. Prior to joining Sovereign, between 2000-2007, she held diverse treasury positions at Wachovia, most recent as a Senior Vice President and Business Line Manager for Sales Consulting Services, Training/Marketing. There, she lead a team of 45 treasury professionals responsible for all product, product launch, liquidity, global sales consulting, industry strategy, communications and training. Prior to this, she held various management roles (from Marketing Manager, Payment Product Manager, etc.) for the Bank of America and Fleet/Bank Boston in the New York City, NY, Hartford, CT and Boston locations. 

Deb completed the Women in Leadership Forum from Harvard Business School and the New York University Cash Management Program from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business in New York. She currently holds her undergraduate degree from Assumption College in Worcester, MA in Business Administration. Though she held initiative leadership roles for the Wachovia’s Treasury Services and Corporate and Investment Bank Women’s Initiative from 2004-2007, she is a Permanent Certified Cash Manager (CTP). Currently, she is a member of the following organizations: Sovereign’s Senior Diversity Council, the Treasury Management Association of New England (TMANE), Association for Financial Professionals, ASPCA, and the American Diabetes Association.

Ed has over 25 years executive level experience in product/project management, life cycle management, sales, and technology leadership from business requirements definition through technology assessment and product development. Prior to joining RemoteDepositCapture.com Ed was with NetDeposit. Ed joined NetDeposit in 2002 and has been involved in Remote Capture since then working with a number of the largest banks in planning, implementing and rolling out remote capture systems. Ed has extensive expertise in the areas of Check 21, ACH (ARC/BOC), risk management and other imaging based applications.
