307-Foreign Exchange Outlook - Where Next for the Euro ?
This session will be a discussion of current developments in the forex market with a particular focus on the sustainability of the euro area.

Learning Objectives:
	Why the euro zone is not an optimal currency area
	What the challenges of managing the diverse euro area economy are
	Whether the euro will continue to exist or not in its current form

Shaun Osborne, TD Securities Shaun Osborne is the Chief FX Strategist for TD Securities, based in Toronto. He provides fundamental and technically-driven commentary, research and trading strategies focusing on the major currencies for TD Securities and its clients. Thomson/Reuters ranked TD Securities the third most accurate major currency forecaster in the world in 2008 and first overall in 2009 out of a total of 61 banks. Bloomberg ranked TD Securities the most accurate currency forecaster in the world in 2010, with the lowest margin of error among 48 forecasters. Shaun has been with TD Securities since 2006.  Shaun worked as a currency strategist for another Canadian bank in Toronto and London for a number of years and prior to joining that institution, worked for MCM CurrencyWatch in the UK and Thomson Financial Network/Tech Data in London and Paris as a G7 currency analyst and economist. While based in Paris, Shaun wrote regular reports on the foreign exchange market for “La Tribune de l’Expansion”, a major French-language financial daily. He is frequently quoted in the national and international media and makes regular appearances on TV and radio to provide views and insights into market developments.  He obtained his MBA at the City University Business School in London in 1998.
