902-De-Mystifying the Fixed-Income Market for Corporate Cash Managers 
The presentation will focus on "Best Practice Observations" in corporate cash fixed income investment management. The session will review topics such as the importance of an investment policy, asset class selection, fixed income strategy & tactics, analyzing credit risk, the money market fund sector, the identification of Level 1 and Level 2 assets, managing the yield curve and optimizing returns.

 

Learning Objectives:
Have an understanding of today's Best Practice observations as it relates to corporate cash fixed income investment management
Have an understanding the importance of an investment policy
Have an understanding of fixed income strategy & tactics, analyzing credit risk and managing the yield curve & optimizing returns.

Paul Tashima, UBS Financial Services, Inc.
Paul Tashima has been with UBS Financial Services Inc. (by way of Kidder
Peabody) for more than 20 years, and is the head and senior portfolio manager
of the Corporate Cash Management Group. The Group focuses on providing
separately-managed, client-specific fixed income investment solutions for
institutional investors. With more than 20 full-time professionals, the Corporate
Cash Management Group customizes investment solutions consistent with their
client's investment policy parameters and working capital & liquidity needs.

In 2011, Paul Tashima was recognized in Barron’s “Top 100 Financial Advisors”
list (April), and was the #1 Financial Advisor in Registered Rep Magazine’s Top
100 Wirehouse Advisors in America (September, 2010).

Paul received his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his MBA
from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is currently a
Visiting Committee Member of the Harris School of Public Policy at the University
of Chicago. Paul also serves on the board of Northwestern University's Girls
Varsity Volleyball team.
